Tasting notes
Liquid gold. Rich and inviting with good legs, indicating texture and depth.
Mild, savoury nose with maritime notes of seaweed, dry sand-dunes, salt crystals, linseed oil, and a hint of banana.
Slightly oily mouth-feel. Salty start, sweet undertones, white pepper, toasted oak, and a touch of peat-smoke in a warming finish.

Shaped by its wind-swept island home, it is renowned for a beautifully balanced style built on aromatic Orkney peat and rich sherried oak, heather-honey sweetness, gentle maritime smoke and warming spice. Stepping outside the core range, this single cask lets you taste that Orkney character one barrel at a time, the salt air and heather smoke of a single, finite draw from the far north.
