About Benriach
Founded in 1898 by John Duff, who also owned neighbouring Longmorn, Benriach sits just south of Elgin in Speyside. It fell silent in 1900, after only two years, though its floor maltings kept working for Longmorn, and it did not distil again until 1965. Today it makes an unusually broad range for Speyside: unpeated, peated and triple-distilled spirit.
