Our Story

A Moment in Time

It is believed that the first record of Scotch Whisky dates back to 1494 when Friar John Cor wrote ‘Eight bolls of malt to Friar John Cor wherewith to make aqua vitae.’ In this same year it is believed that Leonardo da Vinci produced the earliest known drawings of the pendulum and the connection between Scotch and time was born.

The most important ingredient of Scotch is time – without the hands of time there simply would be no Scotch.

One Cask at a Time celebrates this relationship by releasing some of the best casks of Scotch that have withstood the test of time for you to enjoy.

With access to some of the rarest casks from Scotland’s foremost distilleries, we are privileged to be able to select from this vast collection from some of the oldest and most respected producers within the industry.

Whether your preference be a soft and smooth Lowland malt, a beautiful Speyside full of mouthwatering fruit or a robust and smoky malt from the Western Isles, we can offer some of the finest casks from all regions.

Only when we deem a cask to be of exceptional quality, is it hand selected for bottling and to bear the name of One Cask at a Time. As the name suggests, we select individual casks to produce some of the best and rarest whiskies that Scotland has to offer – but only when the time is right!

With no two casks being the same, every bottle contains its own personality and has its own place in history.

A true celebration of time.
